Սեպտեմբերը շրջադարձային ամիս է՝ հինն արժեվորելու եւ նորը սկսելու մասին։ Աշնանամուտը կարծես ազդարարում է կյանքի ավելի հասուն փուլի մասին, ուր մուտք ենք գործում՝ պատվելու մեզ թողած ժառանգությունը եւ այդ հիմքի վրա շարունակելու կառուցել նորը: Ակամայից մենք էլ կարծես շարժվում ենք բնության՝ ի վերուստ սահմանված այդ ընթացքով: Հինն արժեվորելուն եւ նոր լուծումներ փնտրելուն էր ուղղված Համաշխարհային հայկական գագաթնաժողովում AMAA-ի մասնակցությունը, որտեղ շնորհակալագրով կարեւորվեց կազմակերպության ազգանվեր առաքելությունը։ Միեւնույն ժամանակ ամուր բռնելով մեր ժառանգությունը եւ վառ պահելով այդ ժառանգությունը մեզ փոխանցած նվիրյալների անունը՝ Ավետիսյան դպրոցում պատվեցինք AMAA-ի գործադիր տնօրեն Զավեն Խանջյանի հիշատակը։ Ամիսը եզրափակվեց 30 տարուց ավելի հազարավոր մանուկների հանգրվան դարձած «Շողիկ» ճամբարի ճաշարանի եւ հյուրատան հիմնանորոգված մասնաշենքերի բացմամբ, որը դարձյալ անցյալն արժեվորելու եւ այդ հիմքերի վրա նորը կառուցելու մասին է։ Երախտապարտ ենք բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր կանգնած են հիմքերում եւ ովքեր դեռ շարունակում են կառուցել։

Honoring the Legacy
September marks a season of transition, a time to honor the past while embracing new beginnings. Autumn seems to herald a more mature phase of life—a period where we cherish the legacy entrusted to us and forge new paths upon that foundation. Unknowingly, we too move with nature’s rhythm, guided by a path laid out for us from above. AMAA’s participation in the Armenian Global Summit emphasized both acknowledging the past and exploring new solutions, with the organization’s dedicated mission recognized through a letter of appreciation. We held fast to our heritage, paying tribute to those who passed it down to us. At Avedisian School, we remembered and honored the late Zaven Khanjian, former Executive Director of AMAA, whose legacy continues to inspire. The month drew to a close with the opening of dining hall and guesthouse buildings of Shoghik Camp, a sanctuary that has nurtured the spirits of thousands of children for over 30 years—a testament to the importance of appreciating the past while building for the future. Our hearts are full of gratitude for all those who have laid the foundations and who continue to build upon them.
