Օրերս Պէյրութի մէջ մեծ շուքով տեղի ունեցած է Գարակէօզեան Հիմնարկութեան «Կանանց Հզօրացման Ծրագիր»ի Ամանորեայ միջոցառումը։
Ասոր մասին «Արեւելք» իմացաւ հիմնարկութեան պաշտօնական էջէն։
Ստորեւ տրուած հաղորդագրութիւնը՝
Գարակէօզեան Հաստատութեան տիկինները մեծ ուրախութեամբ տօնեցին իրենց Ամանորը «Երջօ Սամուէլեան» սրահին մէջ՝ համայնքիս երեք հոգեւոր առաջնորդներու ներկայությամբ՝ Գերշ. Տ. Տաճատ Արք Աշըքեանի, Գերապայծառ Հայր Գրիգոր Եպս. Պատիշահի եւ Վերապատուելի Ռաֆֆի Մսրլեանի։ Միջոցառման մասնակցեցան նաեւ Մեսրոպեան Բարձրագոյն Վարժարանի տնօրէն՝ Կրէկուար Գալուստը, Գարակէօզեան Հաստատութեան տնօրէն Սերոբ Օհանեանը եւ հաստատութեան պաշտօնեաները։
Բացման խօսքով հանդէս եկաւ ծրագրի պատասխանատու Ժանին Դանիէլեանը։ Տօնական յայտագիրը հարստացաւ հայ դպրոցներու աշակերտներու մասնակցութեամբ․
– Հայ Աւետարանական Երկրորդական Վարժարանի աշակերտները խմբերգով,
– Թէքէեան Վարժարանի աշակերտուհին՝ մենապարով,
– Մեսրոպեան Բարձրագոյն Վարժարանի «Շուշի» պարարումբը՝ հայկական պարերով,
– Ազգային Միացեալ Վարժարանի աշակերտները՝ կենդանի պատկերով, ասմունքով, պարով ու նուագով՝ ներկայացնելով Արարատը։
Երեք հոգեւոր առաջնորդները իրենց օրհնութեան խօսքերն ու աղօթքները բարձրացուցին ։
Տնօրէն Սերոբ Օհանեանը, իր խօսքին մէջ շնորհակալութիւն յայտնելով տիկիններուն վստահութեան համար, ընդգծեց, որ այս տարի Գարակէօզեան Հաստատութիւնը կը նշէ իր 105-ամեակը, իսկ Լիբանանի Գարակէօզեանը՝ 85-ամեակը։ Ան յայտարարեց 85-ամեակի ծրագրերու մեկնարկը եւ այս առիթով ծրագրի պատասխանատու Ժանին Դանիէլեանին շնորհեց առաջին ոսկեայ յուշամետալը՝ հաուըրտ Գարակէօզեանի դիմանկարով՝ իր նուիրեալ ծառայութեան գնահատանքի համար։
IIn Bourj Hammoud, the elderly move through the neighborhood like quiet landmarks. Many of them built their lives here stone by stone, working in the factories, the workshops, the kitchens, the places that once kept the whole district alive. Now, the world around them has changed faster than they ever imagined. Buildings rise, businesses come and go, and the crowds passing through barely notice the men and women who once carried this place on their backs. Most of them still live in the same small apartments they moved into decades ago. The rent is low because the buildings are old, but everything else is expensive. Many suffer from medical and health issues such as diabetes, heart conditions, bad joints, and fading eyesight, problems that require care they can hardly afford. Clinics cost money, medication costs even more, and even getting to a doctor is a challenge when you are unsteady on your feet. So they ration their medicine the way they ration their food, stretching both as far as they can. Pensions are almost nonexistent. Some survive on help from a neighbor, a relative abroad, relief organizations or the church. Others get by with less than that. They stretch a bag of lentils for days. They skip meals without saying it out loud. A few sit by their windows at noon, waiting for the sound of someone climbing the stairs, hoping it is a visitor. Hoping it is anything. What hurts more than the hunger is the feeling of being left behind. Their children left Lebanon long ago, chasing stability elsewhere. The workshops they once worked in are gone. The streets they knew are crowded with new faces and new languages. They do not blame anyone, but the loneliness settles into their bones. They move slower now, carrying memories heavier than their shopping bags. And yet, despite everything, they endure. You see it in the old man sweeping the sidewalk in front of a building that is not even his. In the grandmother sitting outside on a plastic chair, offering a smile to every passerby even when she has not eaten breakfast. They are the last witnesses of a neighborhood built by struggle and hope, living out their days with the quiet courage of people who learned long ago how to survive with almost nothing.
